We continue to invest heavily in our team development with a wealth of internal training courses, access to external courses, and Nursery based support with our Lead Practitioners and Management team. Our internal Support and Development Practitioners are there for you at every stage of your career to support you in your role, inspire you, and develop your potential.
At each Nursery we arrange social activities and team building events. Twice a year we throw a massive party; a Hog Roast in the Summer and a Dinner Dance in the Winter, and everyone at Yellow Dot is invited.

Would you like the opportunity to train for a professional qualification in early years childcare while working within one of our Nurseries? You will receive full training led by a workplace assessor whilst working alongside experienced Nursery practitioners and helping to raise outcomes for our early years children (Applicants should be aged 16 to 24 years old, due to training funding).
The position of Modern Apprentice Cook involves working as part of a Team preparing healthy and nutritious meals for children up to the age of 4 years following our menus and recipes. You'll ensure that all necessary food and kitchen supplies are ordered as needed on time and be responsible for portion control and for monitoring the Team in line with portion guidance.

We're looking for level 3 qualified early years practitioners to support the Room Managers leading a team. Together you will nurture an environment where children are happy, secure and relaxed enabling them to learn, develop and grow in confidence. You'll deputise for the Room Manager and be a role model for the team inspiring potential for everyone in the room. To excel in this position you should demonstrate enthusiasm and a passion for ensuring high quality outcomes for children.
In this role you will lead and motivate your team to enable the children to learn and grow in confidence creating an atmosphere of enthusiastic play based learning. Through excellent communication and a positive disposition you will ensure children and team members in your room are happy, secure and relaxed, inspiring potential within the Nursery whilst communicating and building relationships with the parents of children in your care. Excellent communication skills and a happy disposition are required for this role in which you will be supporting the Nursery Manager as a part of the Nursery Leadership team to nurture an environment where children and team are happy, secure and relaxed enabling them to learn, develop and grow in confidence.
As a Lunchtime Nursery Assistant you will support the Room Manager and the team over the lunch time period, being flexible to work in each room as necessary. You will work as part of the team, encouraging the children to be as positive and as independent as possible and support the team at meal times, with sleep time routines and the cleaning routines after lunch. Working in co-operation with all team members you will be involved with all child activities in the nursery that take place between the hours of 11.00am and 2.00pm. Maintaining a First Aid and Food Hygiene certificate is also relevant in this role.
In this role you'll work as part of a Team, where all members are valued under the supervision of the Room Manager and Senior Nursery Nurse to ensure the safe and effective day to day running of the room. You'll be a positive influence, motivator and ambassador for Yellow Dot in all situations, promoting our 7 values. This is the perfect opportunity to work with children and work within a Team. You should have a responsible outlook, be mature and most of all love working with children. (You may even consider working towards a qualification).
We take pride in delivering Outstanding provision for our Early Years children and this requires a clean and hygienic environment. If you take pride in your work and would like to contribute to providing high quality outcomes for babies and young children by maintaining a 'spic and span' hygienic environment, then this role could be for you. 2 hours a day after 6:00pm or before 7.30am.
We take pride in providing freshly prepared, healthy and nutritious meals for early years children at our Yellow Dot Nurseries. As our Cover Cook you will enable this to happen and will be a key member of the Nursery Team. The Basic Food Hygiene certificate will be required or willingness to undertake the training to achieve this. You will need to adhere to dietary requirements and be allergy aware.
As a Tea Person you will be helping with the children's tea time 4-6pm. This will involve washing up and ensuring trays for the next day are ready. Hanging out the washing to dry and putting the flannels in the wash will also be part of your role. You will be working alongside all Team members and will be a key part of our Team helping to keep the nursery clean and tidy. Applicants need to be at least 13 years of age and will require a working permit if they are school age (we will help you get this).
